1. SSGE:
In 1983, while we were both working full time elsewhere, we started a business called S G Guttering as a hobby with the hope that any profit we made would pay for the occasional holiday and treat. We thought that if someone wanted their Gutters cleaned, repaired or replaced, where would they go?
Very soon it became so busy that Stephen gave up his full time work and concentrated on building the business and with the help of his brother David, who worked in the business, it continued to grow. Gradually additional products were added such as the then new PVC fascias and cladding the trading name SG Guttering became to narrowing, we needed to encompass our growing range of roofline products and the range of Windows and Doors, Conservatories and Porches, Canopies and everything else we offer today. As most people dropped the word 'guttering' in 1988 it was decided to it was decided to rename the business SG. Unfortunately we couldn't register 2 letters of the alphabet so after some consideration it was decided to name it SSGE and pronounce it S G.
Since those early days SSGE has grown into a well established home improvement company. The business now has 25+ direct employees, which includes our own fitting and building teams, along with sales and administration. In addition, we also have reliable sub-contractors carrying out ancillary works such as electrical installations, plastering and plumbing when necessary.
We feel SSGE is "A Company Hard To Beat For Quality, Reliability And A Professional Job." (but then again it is ours so we would, wouldn't we!)

2. Plastic Building Supplies Ltd:
In 1973 I had left school and gone to work for Jewson's as office clerk and inside sales. I quickly rose to management level but unfortunately due to the young age of manager Jewson then had, I was firmly entrenched in 'Dead Man's Shoes'! I left them and went to work in a building and roofing company, that's where I got the 'on-site' experience for SSGE. I was still working there in 1983 when we set up SSGE.
SSGE had always found it very difficult to obtain PVC guttering and other materials in a good enough condition to install. Mostly it was kept in metal racks in Builders Merchants yards and delivered on open lorries along with bricks, cement and other building materials and 7 times out of 10 it was scratched and damaged and not usable.
In 1988 I decided to go back to my roots. I had seen a niche in the market for a proffessional business supplying all types of PVC building materials, hence Plastic Building Supplies was born. It simply supplies was it says in its name.

We established Ledan in 1993 as a manufacturer of competitively priced high quality PVCu windows, doors and conservatories. Trying to name a business is one of the most difficult things and eventually we named it after our 2 sons, one named Lee and the other Daniel, simple really.
Ledan Windows is based in Norwich from where they service a customer base of both the Trade and DIY enthusiast, offering a delivery service across the East Anglia region. As we deal with all types of customers from the large trade to the one off home user, we can supply windows and doors glazed or unglazed, made to measure to suite your home. Currently it has around 40 employees and offers a delivery service through-out East Anglia.

4. EACH:
We have been supporting East Anglia's Children's Hospices Since 1997 as our nominated charity it is close to our hearts as it is a local charity that helps children. We originally supported the Quidenham Children’s Hospice but in 1998 Quidenham merged with the hospices at Milton near Cambridge and Ipswich and formed EACH.
EACH exists to maximise the quality of life for terminally ill children, their families and all who are special to them. They offer care for children up to 18 years of age providing palliative care and symptom control (the terms used when no cure is in sight), respite care in the hospices, outreach nursing in the children’s own homes, emotional and practical support.
In the hospices, they aim to provide “a place for living” rather than dying, and a home-from-home environment for sick children and their families. Cheerful surroundings and special play equipment help each child to reach their full potential and make the most of precious time
It takes an enormous effort by numerous people to finance and run the hospices, which rely on voluntary donations and fundraising events.
Our support over the years has varied. We regularly donate money as a response to requests for funds from the hospice, and have supported EACH by donating Florida Villa Holidays as main auction prizes at fundraising events. Collectively since our association with EACH started, we have raised in excess of £20,000 along with a similar amount received by EACH as proceeds from our donated items.
We know that for every £1 raised, 87 pence goes directly to the care of the children and it is our aim to continue to support this worthy charity by both action and deed.

6. The Stage Door Pub :
We happened apon 'The British Stage Door Pub' several years ago and found it lived up to its boast of being "The Friendliest Little Pub in the Heart of Florida". It serves beer by the pint and has good home cooked food on ther menu and if you're looking cornish pasty, meat pie or good old fashoned fish and chunky chips - not skinney fries, thats the place to go. Its situated a short drive from the villas and is well worth a visit as there is entertainment on most nights. Mention that you're staying in one of our villas and recieve a reduction on your bill.
