In Florida and the US, there are a wide range of entertaining sporting events worth exploring as part of a visit. The US are renowned for fast pace sports with high quality entertainment during half-times and TV ad breaks. NBA Basketball
Around a 45 minute drive away is the Amway Center, home of Orlando Magic NBA basketball team. An NBA game is 4 quarters of 12 minutes each, a total of 48 minutes. However, time is stopped for reasons during a game for fouls, ball out-of-bounds, timeouts, and a 15-minute halftime. That makes the wall-clock duration of typical games 2-2.5 hours. There is usually a half-time show to keep spectators entertained and as their stadiums are inside and smaller than what we are used to in english football (ahem…soccer) the atmosphere is awesome.
